Client: Friends of the Wissahickon
This trail signage project involved the development of a new wayfinding and signage system for Wissahickon Valley Park as part of Friends of the Wissahickon’s (FOW) Sustainable Trails Initiative (STI). The trail signage system will enable FOW to further enhance park users’ experiences while showcasing FOW’s mission and recruiting advocates for the Park’s protection.
A.D. Marble Communications worked closely with FOW and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation to developed content for 25 kiosks and 130 trail markers located throughout the Park. The kiosk panels consist of a park information panel (maps and park rules); a park directory (history of local attractions); and an interpretive panel that focus on FOW’s goals and objectives, as well as environmental stewardship. A.D. Marble Communications provided all graphic design and illustration services and coordinated fabrication and installation of the signage system throughout the Park.
A.D. Marble also provided construction, planning, and assessment for FOW’s STI. You can learn more our work on this project here.
